Senior NGO Program Manager

About This Role

Are you passionate about empowering NGOs and creating lasting social impact? We’re looking for a Senior NGO Program Manager to join our team and lead strategic initiatives that help non-profit organizations across India scale their operations and maximize their impact.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement comprehensive capacity building programs for NGO partners
  • Lead organizational development initiatives across multiple states
  • Design strategic frameworks for NGO growth and sustainability
  • Manage relationships with 15-20 NGO partners simultaneously

Program Development

  • Create training modules and workshops on organizational development
  • Conduct organizational assessments and develop improvement plans
  • Facilitate strategic planning sessions for partner organizations
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness using data-driven approaches

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with NGO leaders and boards
  • Collaborate with government agencies and international donors
  • Represent Aadyas Services at conferences and sector events
  • Mentor junior team members and program coordinators

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Development Studies, or related field
  • Experience: 5-8 years in NGO management, program development, or social sector consulting
  • Sector Knowledge: Deep understanding of Indian non-profit landscape and regulatory environment
  • Project Management: Proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects

Essential Skills

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Hindi
  • Leadership: Experience leading teams and managing organizational change
  • Analysis: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Technology: Proficiency with project management tools and CRM systems
  • Travel: Willingness to travel 40-50% of the time across India

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with grant writing and donor relationship management
  • Knowledge of digital transformation in the social sector
  • Previous consulting experience with multiple organizations
  • Certification in project management (PMP) or organizational development
